The invention relates to a method for deep-drawing cavities (2) in thin metal foils (3), preferably in aluminium composite foils coated on both sides with a plastic material and used for blister packs (1). According to said method a drawing punch (6) pushes the metal foil (3), which lies flat between the blank holder (10) and the lower die (12), into a die opening (13). To optimise both production and the shape of the cavity the invention provides for a subsequent deformation step, according to which the casing wall (19) extending from the floor to the level metal foil area is encircled in a circular manner by a second die opening (18) with a resulting reduction in the diameter of the cavity opening (D to D') and displaced inwards towards the drawing punch axis (x-x), i.e. at a steeper incline to the level metal foil plane (E-E). |
