AQUEOUS DISPERSION LIQUID OF VINYL AMINE POLYMER AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aq. dispersion liq. of a vinyl amine polymer keeping a low viscosity even at a high concn. and a stable dispersion, and excellent in handling for automation and labor saving, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: An aq. dispersion liq. of a vinyl amine polymer contains a water-soluble polymer having a vinyl pyrrolidone unit and an inorg. salt. The manufacturing method of the aq. dispersion liq. of the vinyl amine polymer comprises hydrolysis of a polymer having an N-vinyl carboxylic acid amide unit in the presence of a water-soluble polymer having the vinyl pyrrolideone unit and the inorg. salt. Or, an aq. dispersion liq. which is obtd. by polymerizing the N-vinyl carboxylic acid amide or the N-carboxylic acid amide and a monomer which is copolymerizable with it in an aq. solvent in the presence of the water-soluble polymer having the vinyl pyrrolidone, is hydrolyzed by adding the inorg. salt.
