<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing inorganic foamed tiles having excellent light weight and thermal insulation properties. SOLUTION: This inorganic foam tile production process comprises the first step in which a SiO2 -Al2 O3 inorganic powder, an alkali metal silicate, a foaming agent and water are mixed and the homogeneously mixed composition is cast into molds, the second step in which the mixed composition is foamed in the molds, then cured by heating to give the inorganic cured products and the third step in which the inorganic cured products are coated with an impregnating water absorption inhibitor on their surfaces of the cured products and cured to give the objective water-resistant and water-repellent inorganic cured products.</p> |
