PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize the radiolucency and mechanical characteristics by coating a tube member for a stent by a material having radiation impermeability higher than a support constitution material into a uniform thickness. SOLUTION: This stent 100 is constituted of a tube member 101 having a support 110. The stent 100 is formed of a stainless steel and Nitinol (R) and provided with a first coating constituted of a second material selected according to the non-radiolucency. The first coating covers the whole of the tube member 101 so as to prevent the cross part between the first material and a second material of the first coating for constituting the support 110 from being exposed to the outside of the stent 100. This constitution causes a junction potential in the blood so as to prevent electrolytic etching in the stent 100. This coating is constituted of an arbitrary radiolucent material having the radiation permeability higher than the material of the support 110 and coated by an appropriate method such as electroplating. The radiolucency and the mechanical characteristics can be thus optimized.
|
