<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a shape even though a synthetic resin bottle is made up in thin structure and to easity and regularly fold the bottle after consumption of contents by a method wherein an upper circumferential recessed groove is formed at a position below a part where a trunk part and a shoulder part are connected and a low circumferential recessed groove is formed at a position above a bottom grounding part respectively at positions at specified times of distance between the opposite corners of the trunk part. SOLUTION: A bottle main body 1 is made of a synthetic resin and constructed of a trunk part 2, a shoulder part 3 and a bottom part 4. The bottle main body 1 has an approximately square cross section with its corner parts 5 formed respectively in an outwardly protruded circular arc, and circumferential recessed grooves 6 and 7 are formed circumferentially at the upper part and the lower part of the trunk part 2. The position whereat the circumferential recessed groove 6 is provided is set at a part below the part where the shoulder part 3 and the trunk part 2 are connected, and the position whereat the circumferential recessed groove 7 is provided is set at a part above a bottle bottom grounding part 13 respectively at positions at 0.35-0.60 times the distance between the opposite corner parts 5 of the trunk part 2. The bottle main body 1 can be crushed easily with the circumferential recessed groove 6 and the circumferential recessed groove 7 respectively above and below the opposite sides, namely when thrusted toward the inside of the bottle from the opposite corner parts 5.</p> |
