PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain polyester fibers having excellent smoothness, coherency, antistaticity and heat resistance, having extremely good unwindability from bobbins or cheeses in a winding process or in a drawing process and extremely good process passableness from a spinning process to a false twisting process especially on a false twisting treatment, or the like. SOLUTION: The polyester fibers having excellent processability comprises a polytrimethylene terephthalate in an amount of >=85 wt.%, and has a birefringence of >=0.025, an elongation of 20-180%, an elastic modulus of 20-50 g/d, a fiber friction cutting number of >=300, an interfilament static friction coefficient of 0.2-0.4 and an oil adhesion rate of 0.2-3 wt.%. The false-twisted yarns of the polyester fibers are suitable for clothes having good qualities such as good softness, bulkiness and uniformity in the forms of woven or knitted fabrics. |
