PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for removing organic substances which can efficiently remove surfactants and other organic substances contained in raw water (e.g. drainage of ultrapure water) and an apparatus for producing ultrapure water. SOLUTION: An apparatus for removing organic substances, which is an ion exchange apparatus using ion exchange resins of a salt form, is equipped with an ion exchange apparatus 32 which adsorbs/removes surfactants contained in raw water containing surfactants and other organic substances by ion exchange resins in a salt form and an apparatus 34 for oxidizing organic substances for oxidizing/decomposing organic substaraces remaining in the treated water of the ion exchange apparatus 32. The apparatus 34 is installed in at least one of the drainage recovery system for pure water, drainage recovery system for general service water, and wastewater treatment system of the drainage recovery system of the ultrapure producing apparatus. |
