PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the space which a tilt lock device occupies, shorten the length for mounting of the tilt lock device, and omit an external communication passage from an inner and an outer cylinder. SOLUTION: This tilt lock device 10 is composed of a piston 13 furnished with piston rod 14, inner cylinder 12 partitioned by the piston 13 into an upper oil chamber S1 and lower oil chamber S2, and an outer cylinder 11 surrounding the inner cylinder 12, and the piston 13 is furnished with a communication passage to put the oil chambers S1 and S2 in communication. The communication passage is equipped internally with a shut-off valve 15 which can be operated externally, and serves also as a shock absorbing valve to absorb shocks by hindering the oil from flowing from the lower chamber S2 to the upper S1 and dmiting flowing of the oil from the upper chamber S1 to the lower S2 when the pressure in the upper chamber S1 has exceeded the set pressure level. A pressure accumulating chamber S3 to move in followup after coming-in and going-out of the piston rod 14 and compensate the volume of the oil coming in and going out only through the lower oil chamber S2 is formed between an outer cylinder 11 and an inner cylinder 12. |
