PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of patterns, which can not be inspected and the possibility of wrong correction of a positional shift and improve the reliability of an inspection by a method wherein the positional shifts of all the cameras except at least one camera, the amount of the positional shift obtained by which is adopted as the common amount of the positional shift, are corrected. SOLUTION: Calculating parts 241 -24n of the amounts of positional shifts between patterns to be inspected taken in through image inputting parts 201 -20n provided in every one of cameras 121 -12n arranged dividedly to the width direction of a printed mater 10 as an inspecting object and a standard pattern are provided. After that, defect judging parts 281 -28n , which inspect the presence/ absence of defects through inspection by registering the patterns to be inspected and the standard pattern on the basis of the results of the calculation through the buses 261 -26n of local amounts of positional shifts, the bus 30 common to a system of the amount of positional shift for allowing to input the amount of positional shift obtained by either one of the respective cameras 121 -12n as the common amount of positional shift in the defect judging parts 281 -28n of the other cameras and output switches 251 -25n are provided. |
