PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an ink jet recording medium by being allowed not only to have high minute images to be recorded with good reproducibility, but also have sufficient surface strength as office paper and a writing property by a pencil. SOLUTION: The ink Jet recording medium comprises an ink receptor layer containing amorphous silica and an adhesive provided on a carrier, wherein the amorphous silica contains two kinds of amorphous silica manufactured by a precipitation method in which a BET type specific surface area is in the range of 200-400 m<2> /g, and these two kinds are amorphous silica having an average particle diameter of 3 μm or more and 5 μm or less and amorphous silica having an average particle diameter of 5 μm or more and 10 μm or less and, furthermore, the ink receptor layer contains a diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride polymer. |
