PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-quality recording without twists, ooze, strike-through, etc., and eliminate a large increase of a surface tension of ink by selectively adsorbing by an adsorbing member a hydrophobic substance such as polyol, a plasticizer, an activator, a catalyst, a lubricant, a neutralizer, etc., dissolved from an ink-absorbing body or the like. SOLUTION: In using an adsorbent in a form as it is, an ink-absorbing body 101 of polyurethane or the like in an ink tank 100 is notched partly and the adsorbent of particles is held at a notched face 105. In this case, an adsorbing member 102 for a dissolved substance is preferably set at a position above an ink feed port 103 and not separated so much from the ink feed port. In this simple constitution, the dissolved substance can be adsorbed easily. The adsorbent is preferably silica gel having a hydrophobic group introduced at a surface, a polymer, a polymer having a hydrophobic group introduced to a side chain, particularly, a porous poly(metha)crylate ester resin or polystyrene resin. |
