PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photoconductive material having excellent solution stability, and an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a high sensitivity to a light source of long wavelength around 700 nm and holding high stability. SOLUTION: In (1) a distyryl compound expressed by the general formula [R<1> is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; R<2> to R<5> are each an alkyl group; Ar<1> and Ar<2> are each a phenyl group; (n) is 1 or 2] and (2) an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photoconductive layer containing a charge-generating material and a charge-transferring material on a conductive support, the charge-generating material contains a titanium phthalocyanine compound having the main peak at any one of 7.5 deg., 8.3 deg., 9.5 deg. and 27.2 deg. of Bragg angles (2θ±-0.2 deg.) in an X-ray diffraction spectrum on Cu-Kα.
