PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain clear images by giving an excellent absorptiveness, fixing property, water resistance, and anti-bleeding property of ink to a medium to be recorded for ink jet consisting of an interlayer compound and a binder to receive and hold a water soluble dye by an intercalation reaction. SOLUTION: The medium to be recorded for ink jet has a dye fixing layer 1 consisting of an interlayer compound and a binder to receive and hold a water soluble dye by an intercalation reaction formed on a substrate 2, wherein a polyoxy propylene alkyl ether derivative is contained in the dye fixing layer 1. When at least one ink absorptive layer consisting of ink absorptive resin is formed on the dye fixing layer 1, a polyoxy propylene alkyl ether is contained in the ink absorptive layer. |
