PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve resistance against thermal environment, corrosion resistance, and impact resistance, by adhering a metal plated plastic panel to the surface of a wheel directly and permanently. SOLUTION: An over-lay 20 is a thin gauge panel directly adhere to the outer surface of a wheel disc 18. The form and the size of the over-lay are designed to be conformed to the surface of a wheel, so that wheel can form styling of a composite wheel 10. Further, because the over-lay 20 is unnecessary to be arranged spacedly from surface of the wheel in the axial direction, the maximum flexibility for design can be obtained, and it can be adhered to the outer surface of the wheel directly and permanently by an adhesive 30 such as silicone or polyurethane adhesive. Further, the panel 22 of the over-lay 20 is plated with chromium plate 24 by electric plating. |
