PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material (pellets) which makes filament- reinforced thermoplastic resin moldings with high impact strength as well as a method for manufacturing the moldings using the material. SOLUTION: This molding material is fiber-reinforced resin pellets formed of a bundle of reinforced fibers consisting of reinforcing fibers aligned in the longer direction of fibers, impregnated with a resin. The weight-average length of the reinforcing fiber in the pellet is 2-50 mm. Further, the pellet contains 10-70 wt.% of the reinforcing fiber, 20-85 wt.% of the thermoplastic resin and 0.01-5 wt.% of modified thermoplastic elastomer with a melt flow rate of 4 g/10 min. or more. |
