PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipiece solid golf ball excellent in a feeling at hitting time, durability and repulsive performance, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This golf ball is composed of a core 4 composed of an inner layer core 1 and an outer layer core 2 and one or more layers of a cover 3 formed on the core, the inner layer core 1 has a diameter of 34.0 to 37.4 mm and central JIS-C hardness of 65 to 75, the outer layer core 2 has a thickness of 0.8 to 2.0 mm and surface JIS-C hardness 75 to 85, and both the inner layer core 1 and the outer layer core 2 are formed by heating/molding a rubber composition containing polybutadiene, a co-crosslinking agent, organic peroxide and a filler as an essential component. The cover 3 has Shore D hardness of 45 to 70, and also contains an ionomer resin as a base material resin.
