PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To indicate sufficient exposure to an oxidizing (sterilizing) agent for medical sterilization, etc., with a chemical indicator, etc., by exposing a surface having a pH-insensitive dye capable of being decolored to the oxidizing (sterilizing) agent and observing the dye on a change in color. SOLUTION: A sterilizing agent absorber 60, a biological indicator package 62 containing a bacterium in a spore state placed therein and a chemical indicator strip 64 containing a pH-insensitive dye capable of being decolored are arranged in the interior of a test pack 50 having a base 52 formed with one or more inner recessed parts 56 in which each of the recessed parts 56 communicates with other recessed parts 56 and the exterior with channels 58 and further a transparent cover 54 attached onto the base 52 and the resultant test pack 50 is then exposed to an oxidizing and sterilizing agent or an oxidizing agent to make the sterilizing agent, etc., pass through the channels 58 and the recessed parts 56 to come into contact with the chemical indicator strip 64 and the biological indicator package 62. Thereby, a change in color of the dye contained in the chemical indicator strip 64 is observed to sufficiently indicate that sterilization by the exposure to the oxidizing sterilizing agent or the oxidizing agent is sufficient when the dye is decolored. |
