PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization for a closed space by gaseous formaldehyde. SOLUTION: This method for sterilizing the inside of the closed space comprises maintaining the formaldehyde at a concn. of at least >=2000 ppm in the closed space while maintaining the temp. in the closed space within the range of 20 to 50 deg.C and the relative humidity in the closed space within the range of 50 to 90%. Further, the formaldehyde is generated from methanol or paraformaldehyde. The temp. in the space is maintained within a range of the prescribed set temp. range by a controller 14, a temp. sensor 15 and a temp. regulator according to this method. The humidity in the space is maintained at the prescribed set humidity range by the controller 14, a humidity sensor 16 and a humidity regulator 19. |
