<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To press a sheet material in a carrying direction to be made flat by bending the sheet material being carried in the carrying direction and a vertical direction, reciprocating this to pass a nip through a curl removing roller pair for several times and making variable the corrected amount of the curl of an opposite direction. SOLUTION: A curl removing roller pair 24 is composed of driving rollers 43 and 44 and a driven roller 45 pressed to these two rollers by an elastic body 43a. Since the driving roller 43 generates a carrying force larger than that generated by the driving roller 44, a nip shape in the press-contacting part of the curl removing pair 24 is bent to be protruded downward. A sheet material S imitates this nip shape when passing through the curl removing roller 24, and the curl is corrected upward. Further, the sheet is passed through the curl removing roller pair 24 for several times, and a curl correcting force is applied according to the number of times of passing. Thus, jamming or corner folding is prevented during carrying, ejecting, or loading.</p> |
