PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer and a printing method in which lines for dividing an original figure are printed on the original figure when it is printed while being enlarged and the enlarged figure can be printed while being sectioned by the dividing lines. SOLUTION: The printer comprises an operating panel 110 for designating a magnification based on the length ratio or the area ration in order to output an original image while enlarging, means 105a for forming an original image, means 105b for enlarging the original image and dividing the enlarged image into a plurality of pages, and means 111 for writing a division line on the boundary of sectioned image. When a print data is delivered from a computer 102, a page added with division lines is printed on the original image and then the enlarged image of each section divided by the division lines is printed on a plurality of pages. |
