PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject potentiator enabling harmful free radicals, esp. active oxygen, produced in vivo to be erased. SOLUTION: This potentiator consists mainly of carbohydrates, proteins and water-soluble lignins; these three ingredients are obtained by culturing the mycelia of basidiomycetes and/or ascomycetes in a medium containing vegetable fiber components followed by extraction from the cultured product; wherein the medium to be preferably used is such one as to be prepared from a lignin-contg. plant, in particular, a plant belonging to the genus Gramineae. |
