PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a printer, a printing method and a printer driver capable of recording a high quality image by using adequate ink based on various factors. SOLUTION: In a method for controlling printing of a pixel corresponding to multi-valued image data, a process for judging whether a target pixel should be printed by dye-base ink or by pigment-base ink on the basis of multi-valued image data of the target pixel and that data of a pixel in proximity to the target pixel is included in the method. When it is judged that the target pixel should be printed by the dye-base ink, the printer is instructed to print the target pixel by the dye-base ink. When it is judged that the target pixel should be printed by the pigment-base ink, the printer is instructed to print the target pixel by the pigment-base ink. |
