PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an opening degree when an engine hood is open so as to improve operability and workability by supporting the rear upper end of the engine hood on a car body via a hinge pin so as to be rotated, and supporting the engine hood and the hinge pin on the car body so as to be slid up and down. SOLUTION: When an engine hood 3 is rotated byθ1 in a rear direction around a hinge pin 12 by gripping a grip section 3a and opened, the hinge pin 12 is positioned in a round hole part 9b in the lower end of a guiding groove to prevent its upward movement, and thus only the relative rotations of the round hole part 9b and the hinge pin 12 are permitted. Following the rotation of the engine hood 3, as the engine hood 3 is allowed to make its upward movement from the time when the double-surface width part 11 of the hinge pin 12 is united with the general part of the guide groove 9, it is pushed upward by a stroke S1 while the opening degree ofθ1 is maintained. Then, when the hinge pin 12 reaches the round hole part 9a, the further upward movement of the engine hood 3 is prevented, and the hood is held in an upward limit position.
