PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alumina-silica plastic refractory used in ovens operated at temperatures of <=1,200 deg.C and having excellent corrosion resistance and infiltration resistance. SOLUTION: This alumina-silica plastic refractory consisting mainly of an alumina component and a silica component has refractory aggregate portions having particle diameters of >=0.5 mm and refractory particle portions having particle diameters of <0.5 mm in a weight ratio of 1:(0.67 to 1. 5). The alumina component in the particle portions occupies 55-75 wt.% based on the total amounts of particle portions, and the amount of silica fume in the particle portions is 3-10 wt.% based on the total amount of the plastic refractory. A lignin-based dispersant and an alkali salt are furthermore added in prescribed amounts, respectively. |
