PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the fore-and-aft direction size of an accommodation box for a scooter type vehicle on such a type as opened and closed by the seat while such a configuration is introduced that an oil tank and the accommodation box are positioned in front and in the rear. SOLUTION: A scooter type vehicle has a helmet accommodating box 22 under a seat 32, and an opening 22b on the box 22 is opened and closed by the seat 32 arranged as capable of being opened and closed. An oil tank 25 is installed ahead of the box 22, and a stay 23 supporting a seat hinge is extended forward from the box 22 and furnished with an opening 24, which is confronted by the oil supply parts 25e and 27 of the oil tank 25, and these parts are positioned over the hinge stay 23.
