PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject inhibitor useful for the prophylaxis or therapy of diseases caused by excessive apoptosis such as viral diseases, e.g. AIDS, organ disorders, e.g. hepatitis or autoimmune diseases by including a specific compound having inhibiting actions on both the production of an Fas ligand and the production of a tumor necrosis factor-α. SOLUTION: This inhibitor is obtained by including a condensed ring compound of a 7-membered ring comprising a triazepine or a diazepine and a 5 membered ring containing 2-4 nitrogen atoms having inhibiting actions on both the production of an Fas ligand and the production of a tumor necrosis factor-α.6-(4-Bromophenyl)-4-(4-methoxybenzyl)-1-methyl-4H-2,3,4,5,10b- pentaazabenzo[e]azulene, etc., are cited as the condensed ring compound. The inhibitor is usually systemically or locally and orally or parenterally administered and the dose thereof is usually 0.01-1,000 mg for an adult administered once to several times a day.
