<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily rewrite the content of ROM when a trouble occurs or the like by connecting an arithmetic operation means operated according to a program written in a nonvolatile memory to an external device other than an engine controller and making the content of the nonvolatile memory rewritable for each block. SOLUTION: An engine 2 includes various sensors attached to display running states, and sensor signals thereof are inputted to the CPU 3 of an engine controller 1 after waveform processing. In this CPU 3, an optimal control signal is obtained according to a running state, and a fuel injection device and an ignition device are controlled. The CPU 3 is composed of an MPU 7 operated according to a control program stored in a ROM 8 and a RAM 9 or the like for storing the calculating result of the MPU 7. In this case, in the CPU 3, a communication circuit 10 for data communication with a memory rewriting device 11 as an external device is incorporated. According to information from the memory rewriting device 11, the content of the ROM 8 can be rewritten for each block.</p> |
