PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope shape detector which has a simple structure and can grasp an insertion state shape of an insertion part precisely by simple operation. SOLUTION: A circuit 11 detecting an insertion state shape of an insertion part of an endoscope is equipped in a controller 10 of an endoscope shape detector 1. This circuit is provided with a current drive part 12 supplying a current to a coil for generating magnetism of each shaft of a magnetic field generation element 7, a current detection part 13 detecting a current signal converted by a magnetic field detection element 3 by detecting a magnetic field generated in the magnetic field generation element 7, a current signal memory part 14 memorizing a current signal, a position analysis part 15 generating relative position information of the magnetic field detection element 3 for the magnetic field generation element 7, and a position locus integrating part 16 calculating locus of the magnetic field detection element 3 based on the relative position information, and the results obtained by the calculation in this position locus integrating part 16 are displayed in a display part 17 as an insertion state shape of the insertion part. |
