PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To progress the expansion of an airbag smoothly and surely and dissolve the drop of an appearance quality by forming a multi-layer structure consisting of an other layer with a specific tensile elongation and an inner layer, integrally piled on the inside surface of this outer layer, whose tensile elongation is higher than that of the outer layer and giving a brittle part to the inner layer. SOLUTION: An instrument panel is composed of a base material 1 made of polypropylene, a foaming body layer 2 consisting of a polyurethane foaming body piled on the surface of the base material 1 and a skin 3 piled on the surface of the foaming body layer 2. On the inner layer 31, a H-shaped slit (brittle part) 32 is formed on a position corresponding to a slit 10 and the foaming body layer 2 is filled in the slit 32. When a big tensile stress is exerted on the inner layer at the airbag expansion time, the inner layer is cleaved easily at the brittle part 32. When a force is transmitted to the outer layer, as the tensile elongation of the outer layer is low like 70 to 170%, the inner layer is broken easily at the position of the brittle part 32. Thereby, the airbag is expanded in a car room. |
