PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To isolate the transmission of moisture into a panel material for preventing the occurrence of the warpage or distortion of the panel material by completely covering the upper and reverse sides of the panel material and the edge thereof with a metallic foil for use as a door panel for the interior of a house. SOLUTION: A panel material 1 is formed out of a surface material 1c consisting of a woody panel, a fibrous panel, a synthetic resin panel or the like, a core material, a column material 1a and a structural plate material, and the upper and reverse sides of the panel material 1 and the edge thereof are completely covered with a metallic foil 2, thereby forming a door panel to be used for interior doors fittings for a house. The metallic foil 2 is made of an aluminum foil, a steel foil, a copper foil or the like having thickness equal to or less than 100μm and a print is directly made on the surface of the foil 2 or a printing paper material, a PVC print sheet or the like is pasted for the purpose of surface finish. According to this construction, the panel material 1 completely protected against moisture with the metallic foil 2 and in particular, the edge of the panel material 1 is also wrapped with the metallic foil 2 for preventing the ingress of moisture. As a result, the occurrence of the warpage, distortion or the like of the panel material 1 is prevented.
