PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition which exhibits excellent solubility in low temperature water and improves dust-raisability by allowing detergent granules containing an acrylic polymer and a specific amount or more of a crystalline inorganic salt to have a specific bulk density or higher. SOLUTION: An acrylic polymer and not less than 15 wt.% crystalline inorganic salt such as anhydrous sodiurn carbonate and further, a chelate builder such as a tripolyphosphate, a fluorescent brightener or the like are mixed to prepare a slurry. Then, the slurry is spray-dried and the dried product is formed into detergent granules by kneading extrusion. Subsequently, 100 pts.wt. granules are added with 1-10 pts.wt. inorganic powder having an average particle diameter of not smaller than 20μm such as aluminum silicate, pulverized and spray- added with anionic and nonionic surface active agents, a perfume, a proteolytic enzyme, a lipolytic enzyme or the like to obtain detergent granules having a bulk density of 0.5-1.5 g/ml. As the acrylic polymer, a polyacrylic acid having an average molecular weight of 20,000-100,000, an acrylic acid/methacrylic acid copolymer or the like is used.
