PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer having abilities for transporting electrons, and preferably usable as a photoreceptor layer for an electrophotography photoreceptor, or an intermediate layer between a supporter and the photoreceptor layer by allowing the polymer to include a specific structural unit. SOLUTION: This polymer includes a structural unit of formula I [X is a single bond, a (non)substituted alkylene, S or 0; R1 to R6 are each H, a (non) substituted alkyl or a (non)substituted alkoxy]. Structural units of formulas II to V, and the like are cited as preferable examples for the structural unit included in the polymer. The polymer is, for example, synthesized by heating and refluxing (A) a corresponding bisphenol compound in the presence of (B) a Fetizon reagent of an oxidant by silver oxide (I) in a halogen-based solvent such as chloroform, dichloromethane and dichloroethane for 12-48 hr. |
