PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with much boarding from the middle floor of a building at a boarding peak time by stopping the second, i.e., subsequent deck, of an elevator car at the middle floor, and accordingly enabling remaining passengers to subsequently start with a current car. SOLUTION: By determining the existence of passengers remaining in an elevator area 30 without being dealt with, the stopping of a subsequent deck 16 is decided. First, after an upper, i.e., a preceding deck, is stopped, the remaining of passengers 32 without being dealt with in a lobby 30 is determined by a system. Then, by moving up a car 12 by one floor, similarly, a lower, i.e., a subsequent deck 16, reacts to deal with a floor 20 where the passengers 32 are remaining. Then, the passengers 32 remaining at the lobby board get on the other deck of the car 12, and accordingly the car 12 is started while the two decks are full of passengers. |
