The present invention relates to the valve body (5) of a hydraulic coupling member, more precisely of a plug-type coupler, wherein said valve body (5) is capable of axial displacement along a longitudinal axis X-X between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, the valve body has an abutment surface (6) resting against a sealing surface (7) of the coupling member. A control valve is connected to the valve body (5) which comprises a bore (11) defining a second hydraulic-fluid passageway. The control valve comprises a control member (17) which is guided inside the bore (11) in the same direction as the valve body (5) along the X-X longitudinal axis between a closed and an open position, wherein said control member defines with the bore (11) at least one passageway slot and comprises a head. The control valve also includes a seat (31) against which the head rests in sealed contact when the control member (17) is in a closed position. In order to provide an economical and simple valve body with a pressure-relief unit, one of the two constituent members in the control valve, i.e. the control member (17) or the seat (31) of the valve, is made of a material which is less rigid than that of the other constituent member. |
