FIELD: locking empty cars and containers. SUBSTANCE: locking device includes length of cord whose one end is rigidly secured to body provided with device for fixing the second free end of cord passed through straight-way hole. Body is also provided with blind threaded hole for receiving the fixing device in locking which is made in form of bent L-shaped member whose one end is pointed and outer lateral surface adjoining this end is threaded; circular groove made in immediate proximity of it is received of it is received by blind threaded hole of body in locking; pointed end of bent member is engageable with lateral surface of length of cord in locking, thus fixing it in straight-way hole made in body which intersects blind threaded hole; axes of these holes are perpendicular relative to each other and lie in one plane.
