The present invention relates to a circuit for actuating at least one electrode-less discharge lamp (LP1), wherein said circuit comprises at least one voltage input (j10, j11) ensuring its power supply as well as electric connections (j12, j13) for at least one electrode-less discharge lamp (LP1). This circuit also includes control members for determining the presence or absence of at least one electrode-less discharge lamp (LP1) at the electric connections (j12, j13). These control members will provide the required starting or operation voltage to the at least one electrode-less discharge lamp (LP1) only if said lamp (LP1) is connected to the electric connections (j12, j13). |
