<p>The present invention is directed to a sanitizer that includes (a) a sulfonated compound selected from the group consisting of a fatty acid and esters and salts thereof; (b) a solvent for the sulfonated compound; (c) a solubilizing agent for the sulfonated compound; and (d) an antimicrobial agent. The steps used to prepare the sanitizer include: (a) contacting the sulfonated compound with the solvent; and (b) contacting the solubilizing agent with the solvent. The time between the two contacting steps is preferably no more than about 20 minutes.</p> |
