The mounting for a bone plate is generally a U-shaped wire clip with two parallel pins. The linking member, between the pins (6,7), has a curvature (4,5,8) which curves away from the connecting line (VL) between the pins. At least one of the pins (6,7) has a limit stop, and the pins have pointed tips (2,10). The clip (1) is of metal wire, which can be magnetized.
