A coating composition for forming on an acrylic resin molding a hard coat having sufficient adhesion to the molding. A (partial) hydrolyzate of an organo-functional silane and colloidal silica are dispersed or dissolved in benzyl alcohol to obtain a hard coating. The coating is applied to a molded acrylic resin obtained through cell casting, continuous casting, or the like to obtain a marring-resistant molded article.
