Robots mostly haves mall data processing equipment which have the facility for initiating a number of control tasks suitable for universal application. In consequence they invariably have spare capacity, e.g. unused memory. They can be controlled or programmed through a serial or parallel interface. These functions can be performed by connecting a simple Morse key to the interface and entering instructions in Morse code.
