[Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (iii).] The carburetter casing 1 has an air inlet 13, and a mixture outlet 6 controlled by a throttle valve 5, and encloses a drum 2 mounted between centres 3, or on ball bearings, and provided with helical ribs 4. On the drum spindle is mounted a cam 7, adapted to actuate spring-loaded valves such as 8 in tubular members such as 9 connected to a petrol and a water supply respectively. The petrol may be cut off for a time, and water only supplied. The device may be mounted between an existing carburetter and the engine. |
