Labeled plastic bottle manufacturing process, bottle preform and process equipment which eliminates the need for different tools for producing bottles with different labeling

Labeling of preforms is carried out before the blowing operation. Independent claims are made for: a) the bottle blowing process equipment with one or more blowing stations(2) with a device for labeling preforms(1); b) the preform including a label(5) for producing plastic bottles. Preferred Features: The preform is heat treated, labelled and then blown. A label sleeve may be pushed onto the preform or a flat label section is applied, preferably by winding onto the rotating preform. After winding the front and rear label edges overlap and are joined together. A printed design(11) on the label expands to the final design during preform blowing.
