Microtitration plate for reflectometric interference spectroscopy

The microtitre plate comprises a transparent base plate (1) and a cavity plate (2) which are connected in a non-releasable and fluid tight manner, the base plate being coated on a first surface facing wells (3) in the cavity plate with a layer of at least two materials with different refractive indices and on its second surface, away from the wells, with a coating which greatly reduces the reflectivity of the first surface. The cavity plate has a matrix-like array of cavities or wells and is non-releasably connected to the base plate to be fluid tight. The base plate is 0.01 to 5 mm thick and is composed of planar, unstructured surfaces.
