The holding element (101) which is joined to the car body is positioned adjoining to but not inside the case (1) containing the mechanical parts (F) for locking the safety belt thereby facilitating the production of the case (1) all in a piece. The case (1) does not have to be welded, it is more rigid and more shock resistant. Inside the new design of the case (1) there is a space left for the accommodation of an electrically operated micro switch (U) which informs the driver about the position of the safety belt.
