<p>In a system comprising a computer network, such as LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network), and a plurality of nodes (devices such as personal computers and workstations, connected to the network), a method and media are provided for a connection test between nodes to check the whole system including the network and nodes. A test program is composed of a transmission program and a reception program, which are mutually independent, and the network is checked for normal operation by carrying out a direct communication test between the transmission and reception programs.</p> |
