In case of a fire the fire brigade has to find a hydrant first in order to extinguish the fire with water. A certain quantity of the water will be evaporated at temperatures exceeding 100 Degrees Celsius, a still dangerous smoldering after the fire-brigade has left is possible. These disadvantages can be avoided when the tank of the fire engine is filled with gypsum powder which can be sprayed onto the flames with the water hose.
