A gyrating tool for a mixer has a body of pyramid or pyramid frustum shape with a polygonal base. An Independent claim is also included for a gyrator mounted for rotation on a gyrator arm which can rotate about the rotational axis of a mixer. The gyrator has one or more of the above gyrating tools (1) fitted on respective holder arms.
