Brain measurement probe assembly

An apparatus for taking brain measurements, such as partial oxygen pressure, is new. The apparatus comprises a probe (9) held in the passage channel (8) of a skull bolt (6) in a drilling (5) through the skull. The passage channel (8) and the probe (9) have out-of-round cross sections, which lock together, to prevent rotation at least along part of their lengths. The probe (9) takes a measurement probe (17) in a longitudinal channel. The channel and measurement probe (17) have interlocking out-of-round cross sections to prevent rotation along at least part of their lengths.
