The metallic casing (1) of the motor has paraxial cooling fins (7) extending from all sides except where a terminal box (8) protrudes from the top with connections with the stator windings. The invertor is encased in an attachment (2) with narrower and broader sections (9, 10) and an end cover (11). The broader section (10) is tubular and the narrower section (9) is finned with air inlets between its fins (15), and a transverse partition (16) which conducts heat away from components of the power circuit.
