An image accumulation information apparatus comprising: storage means (26) for storing image information as management information for an accumulated image; and retrieval means (28) for retrieving the image information. The apparatus further comprises computation means (22) for computing a position of management information contained in an arbitrary input image according to relative position information of ruled lines to an outline portion of a table area contained in the input image; and entry means (41 and 42) for extracting the image information from the input image and entering the image information in said storage means (26).
